Joining Girl Scouts
Girl Scouts provides opportunities for girls ages 5 to 17 to learn new skills, make new friends and develop leadership abilities that will serve them throughout life. All girls are welcome regardless of race, religion, socioeconomic background or special needs. In a recent national research study, girls responded that their Girl Scout activities gave them the opportunity to develop nine important characteristics, including:
- Self Reliance
- Social Skills (ability to make friends)
- Respect for Others
- Feelings of Belonging
- Values-clarification and Decision-making
- Helpfulness and Concern for Community
There are two ways to join:
- Register online
- Registration in person
To register online, simply click the link above. To register in person, stop by the Girl Scout Resource Center at 4300 E. Broadway Blvd. and Columbus anytime Monday through Thursday 8:30 am to 5:30 pm or Friday from 8:30 to 3:30 to register your girl. No appointment is necessary. Volunteers are welcome to walk-in as well.
All Girl Scout members are required to:
- Share the Girl Scout Promise and Law
- Follow safety guidelines
- Pay annual membership dues of $15.00*.
Membership dues enable girls to enjoy every aspect of the Girl Scout program. Additional fees for individual events may apply. *Financial assistance for membership dues and special activities is available.
